The Kindness Cause Kicks Off Official Launch with Nonprofit Organization GASP

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — The Kindness Cause officially launched their website, thekindnesscause.com, on Thursday, March 31. The philanthropic e-commerce site is committed to creating an easy and transparent way to both discover and support important causes through shopping when life is too busy to volunteer. Through vetted, 60-day partnerships with nonprofit organizations, The Kindness Cause delivers a curated assortment of meaningful gifts that give back; each item is themed around the mission of their nonprofit partners. With every purchase made, The Kindness Cause donates to a nonprofit organization.

In celebration of Earth Day, The Kindness Cause announced its first charitable partnership and limited-edition Cause Collection with GASP, a Birmingham, Ala., nonprofit whose mission is to advance healthy air and environmental justice in the greater-Birmingham area through education, advocacy, and collaboration. The collection of products will include environmentally friendly t-shirts, hats, jewelry, stationery, and more. A portion of the proceeds from the GASP x The Cause Collection will be donated to GASP to further their clean air initiatives. The collection will be available for sale through May 31, 2022.

The Kindness Cause will also donate a portion of the proceeds from the Kindness Collection to nonprofit organizations helping those who have been displaced in Ukraine. The Kindness Collection is product themed around kindness and positive affirmations and not specific to a nonprofit organization. The product remains the same, but the beneficiary of the proceeds is rotated every 60 days.

The Kindness Cause is the first business venture for retail industry veteran, Mandy Cordia, who most recently helped build the Women’s Fashion Apparel business for Zappos.com. The idea for The Kindness Cause came about by Cordia’s love of helping others, but lack of time to volunteer. As a working mom of two, Cordia sought to give back by purchasing gifts for friends and family that supported philanthropic organizations. While this was a great way to learn about new nonprofits and important issues, it took a lot of work to learn about the organizations and the give back was often vague. Cordia used her 20+ years of retail experience, coupled with her drive to spread kindness to tackle the problem head on and create The Kindness Cause.

“I’m so excited for the launch and the opportunity to raise money for some incredible causes,” said Cordia. “I’m grateful to have GASP as my first Cause Collection partner. Not only do I love their mission, but learning about their work has helped shaped many decisions I’ve made to make The Kindness Cause more environmentally friendly.”

“GASP is honored to partner with the Kindness Cause to raise funds to support our mission for healthy air and environmental justice,” said Michael Hansen, Executive Director for GASP. “Mandy’s philanthropic, eco-conscious vision is an exciting and refreshing take on e-commerce. This partnership will help us reach new audiences and increase our reach across the US.”
