Spencer Bowley is a 2022 graduate from the University of Alabama School of Law, waiting semi-patiently on his bar exam results so that he can start work as a civil rights lawyer in Birmingham with The Rice Firm, LLC. In between graduating from Princeton University in 2011 with a degree in politics and beginning law school in the fall of 2019, Spencer worked in a variety of public-facing positions before and after moving to Alabama, from barista and ice cream scooper to Planned Parenthood organizer and Affordable Care Act navigator. While not fighting the proverbial good fight legally, Spencer spends his free time exploring Birmingham, binge-watching Netflix, building and playing as many Magic: the Gathering decks as possible, and lamenting the recent performance of his Cincinnati Reds.
