Madison Naves, Storyteller, is a graduate of The University of Alabama where she majored in Communications with a concentration in News Media. While attending UA, Madison served as a writer for the university’s student-run newspaper, The Crimson White. She enjoys meeting new people, traveling, and creative storytelling. Madison's interest in journalism comes from her desire to showcase unheard stories from people that are meaningful. Email Madison

Nina Morgan is based in Birmingham, Ala., where she works as a climate and environmental justice organizer with GASP. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she studied Anthropology and Sociology. As a Black, Southern, working-class person, Nina is committed to creating a world in which people and planet are cherished, protected and liberated.

Mary Claire is GASP’s Climate Justice Legal Fellow through the Harvard Public Service Venture Fund. She is a 2021 graduate of Harvard Law School, where she focused her legal education experience on issues of environmental justice, climate justice, and immigrant justice. She went to law school specifically to become a public interest lawyer in the Southeast.

Maria Timberlake is a sophomore at Mississippi State University. She is studying Natural Resource and Environmental Conservation with a concentration in Law and Administration. She hopes to pursue natural resource management or environmental law in the future.

Danielle Wormsby is a junior at Ramsey High School and a new GASP volunteer. She is interested in wildlife and the environment. Danielle hopes to someday pursue a career as a climate scientist or a biologist.

Sanjana Mupparaju is a high school junior at the Alabama School of Math and Science. Her passions lie in journalism and the climate crisis. Sanjana writes for Foreign Policy Youth Collaborative, a website run 100% by high school students.

Marion Fintel retired from Talladega College as an associate professor of biology in July of 2019. During her career, she taught anatomy and physiology, as well as other biology courses, to college students for close to thirty years. Dr. Fintel earned her doctorate in physiology from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans in 1982. She then received further research training as a postdoctoral scholar in the UCLA Department of Physiology. In 2013, Dr. Fintel earned a masters of science degree in public health (MSPH) in the field of epidemiology from UAB.
