Zion Sharpe, Community Science & Research Coordinator
Zion Sharpe is a proud Birmingham native and graduate of Miles College with a B.S. in Environmental Science. His passion lies in helping people and empowering communities through data and environmental justice. His previous work as a youth counselor at the YMCA taught him the importance of community empowerment, a value he brings to his current role. Zion looks forward to partnering with residents to develop and manage air quality monitoring initiatives, applying scientific knowledge to support local campaigns and advance environmental and data justice. Beyond his professional life, Zion is a football coach at Ramsay High School, enjoys cooking and working out. “My faith is also an important part of my life, as I believe that through God, we can achieve our greatest goals.” – Zion
